Bionicon receives “Good
Corporate Neighbor” award from Thorpia March 19,
2007 – In recognition of the contributions of Bionicon to the
local community, the Mayor of Thorpia bestowed the highly-regarded
“Good Corporate Neighbor” award.
Speaking from the steps of town hall, Mayor Mariol
stated, “As a company, you have provided jobs to our
community and included us as volunteers in your research. We are happy
to share a part in bringing the world a brighter future.” T. Moorehead, CEO of Bionicon, echoed his sentiment, “We could not perform our work without the generosity of our neighbors. Good fences make good neighbors and we thank Thorpia for respecting our need for privacy and secrecy. I assure you that the volunteers for our research are being treated with the utmost dignity and respect, even though we have limited their access to the outside world.” Moorehead also took the opportunity to thank PR dynamo Kevin09 for his tireless work promoting Bionicon as a wonderful place to work and as a boon to the local community. Kevin stated, "Many other cities have tried to get Bionicon to move to their communities, knowing well the revenues and opportunities we bring. However, we are determined to keep our sprawling underground facility right here in Thorpia, where the citizens have let us perform our work without intereference for years." As a token of thanks, Moorehead then presented Thorpia with a specimen from the latest flock of SuperChickens. Raised on a zelanine-infused diet, one SuperChicken can feed over 2 dozen people. Instead of becoming dinner, Roy the Rooster will be taking residence at the Thorpia Zoo. |
